The protection system draws in 36 m³/h from the outside, and using a wall-fixed filter unit, purifies the air from chemical and biological toxins, and flows the clean, pure air back to the protected space. In addition, the system constantly replaces the air in the protected space. In emergency cases, the blower can be connected within seconds to both the filter and the electric socket.

In cases of power failure, a backup battery is automatically activated, providing power to the blower for 10-11 operational hours.

A valve fixed above the protected space's door serves as a controller for the system's operation, and over pressure.

The Rainbow system is approved by both the Standards Institution of Israel and the Civil Defense Athorities, and is manufactured in Israel by an ISO 9001 certified production facility.
